Supervision and consultation for therapists who want to feel more clear, grounded, and confident in their work

You care deeply about your clients. You think about your sessions after they end. You want to do good work—but sometimes you find yourself stuck, second-guessing, or carrying more than you expected.

This space isn’t about getting it “right.” It’s about slowing things down enough to really understand what’s happening—in the room and inside of you.

What we’ll focus on:

We’ll look at your cases, of course. But we’ll also pay attention to your reactions, your patterns, and the parts of you that show up in certain dynamics.

What this will include:

  • getting more clarity with a specific client.

  • building confidence in your clinical voice.

  • untangling the internal noise that makes the work feel heavier than it needs to be.

Supervision and consultation

If you’re seeking supervision, we’ll hold the structure needed for licensure and growth.
If you’re coming for consultation, we have more flexibility to follow what feels most useful—whether that’s case work, deepening your use of IFS, or simply having a space to think more clearly about your work.

Either way, this is a space where you don’t have to perform as the therapist.

You get to show up, be human, and grow into the kind of clinician you want to be.

Credentials

Hi, I’m Misty. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Florida (MT3747) and Virginia (0717001551), a Clinical Member of AAMFT, and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate. I am also Level 2 trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and currently working toward certification.

Before we begin

At this time, I offer supervision only and do not provide a clinical site for accruing hours. Supervisees are responsible for securing their own placement or employment where client hours are obtained.

We might be a good fit if…

  • You’re newer to the field and want to feel more grounded in the therapeutic space.

  • You’re needing additional supervision hours and want that time to feel meaningful—not just something to check off.

  • You’re already licensed but find yourself stuck, second-guessing, or carrying more than you’d like between sessions.

  • You’re drawn to IFS or relational work, but aren’t quite sure how to actually use it with clients.

  • You’re looking for supervision or consultation that gives you space to think more deeply about your work—not just focus on tasks or requirements.

FAQs

  • My work is primarily grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Relational Life Therapy (RLT).

IFS offers a way of understanding people that feels deeply respectful and non-pathologizing. It helps make sense of the different parts of us that show up—especially in moments of reactivity, overwhelm, or when things feel stuck—and allows us to stay curious rather than reactive in the work.

RLT brings a relational lens to what’s happening between people in real time. It helps us name patterns more clearly, take ownership where needed, and move toward more honest and connected ways of relating.

I find these approaches work well together. IFS helps create the internal understanding and space that makes change possible, while RLT helps translate that into how we show up in our relationships.

  • Individual supervision may include up to two supervisees.

    Individual Supervision 55 minutes:

    • Resident: $80/session

    Consultation for Licensed Clinicians

    Individual Consultation 55 minutes:

    • Licensed Clinician: $120/session

  • It’s important to me that we meet to assess your needs in supervision and ensure we are a good fit. I offer 20 minute free consultations for this reason.

  • Supervision is structured around licensure. There are specific requirements we’ll follow, along with a focus on building clinical skills, competency, and ethical practice.

Consultation is more flexible. It’s a space to bring your cases, think through stuck points, deepen your use of IFS, or process what’s coming up for you in the work. There’s no evaluation component—just support, reflection, and growth.

  • Most sessions include a mix of case discussion and reflection on your internal experience as the therapist.

We might look at what’s happening with a specific client, and also slow things down to notice your reactions, patterns, or parts that are showing up in the work. Both matter.

Some sessions are more focused on skill-building, and others are more reflective. It tends to shift depending on what you need.

  • I offer supervision only and do not provide a clinical site or client referrals.

You would need to have your own placement or position where you’re seeing clients and able to accrue hours.

  • Consultation offers a space to step back and think more clearly about your work.

You might bring specific cases, especially ones that feel stuck or complex. You might also notice patterns in yourself that are showing up across clients. Sometimes it’s about building more confidence in your clinical voice. Sometimes it’s about having a place where you don’t have to hold it all on your own.

It’s less about “fixing” something and more about understanding what’s happening so you can move forward with more clarity.
