Starting therapy can bring up a lot of questions—and that’s completely normal.

Here you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about how therapy works, what to expect, fees, and getting started. If you don’t see your question here, you’re always welcome to reach out.

  • During your first session, I’ll ask questions to understand what’s bringing you in, but don’t worry -it won’t feel like an interrogation.

    You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come in. We’ll start with what’s most present and go from there. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to be real—that’s where the work actually begins.

  • There isn’t a set number. It really depends on what you’re coming in for and what you’re hoping to shift.

    Some people come for a shorter period of time, while others stay longer to work more deeply. We’ll check in along the way and adjust based on what feels helpful.

  • Yes, all sessions are held virtually through a secure platform. You can join from wherever you have privacy and a stable internet connection.

    You must be in one of the state I am licensed in during the actual session: FL, VA, WI, or GA.

  • Online therapy makes it easier to fit this into your life without adding more stress. There’s no commute, no waiting room, and you can be in a space where you already feel more comfortable.

    Many people find they’re able to open up more easily this way, which allows the sessions to feel more natural and productive.

  • I accept a limited number of insurance plans for individual therapy in Florida and Virginia.

    All couples sessions, as well as all sessions in Georgia and Wisconsin, are self-pay.

  • Couples are able to schedule directly online if you’re ready to begin.

    For individual therapy, you can reach out through the contact form and I’ll follow up with you. I also offer a free 20-minute consultation if you’d like to connect first and make sure it feels like a good fit.

  • No. You don’t need any prior experience with these approaches.

    We’ll go at a pace that feels natural, and I’ll guide you through it in a way that makes sense for you.

  • That’s actually really common.

    You don’t have to be completely sure for it to be worth exploring. Sometimes just having a space to talk things through and start making sense of what’s happening can be a helpful place to begin.

  • Yes. I work with clients across a range of identities and experiences, including the LGBTQ+ community.

  • Yes. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds and aim to create a space that feels respectful, safe, and inclusive.

  • Individual therapy sessions are $180 for a 55-minute session.

    Couples sessions are only offered as extended 3-hour sessions at $675.

    Couples sessions are selfpay only.

    I accept a limited number of insurance plans for individual therapy in Florida and Virginia, including Cigna, Aetna, United Healthcare, and Tricare Select. In Virginia, I also accept Anthem BCBS.

    All couples sessions, as well as individual sessions in Georgia and Wisconsin, are self-pay as I am not credentialed with any insurances in those states.

    For individuals, I work with Thrizer for you to maximize your out of network benefits for insurance that I do not accept in FL, VA, WI, GA.

  • Yes. I provide individual and couples virtual therapy for clients located in Florida, Georgia, Virginia, and Wisconsin at the time of the session.

  • Couples therapy focuses on understanding the patterns that keep showing up between you and your partner and learning how to respond to each other in a different way. We look at what’s happening in real time so things can begin to shift.
